Prime Staked ETH
Prime Staked ETH issues primeETH, a non-rebasing liquid-restaking receipt backed by a configurable basket of supported Ethereum LSTs deposited into EigenLayer. Its exchange rate reflects underlying rewards, while holders bear the risks of each LST, node operator, EigenLayer, oracle, and wrapper. Official documentation still says protocol withdrawals were unavailable at launch and directs holders to Uniswap for exits. DefiLlama measured $37,337 on 2026-08-16. The version-1 dossier rejects it because its size, lifecycle, and restaking stack cannot support advised use.

Mechanism and class applicability
Users mint primeETH with supported LSTs. Rather than rebasing, primeETH earns rewards through a rising exchange rate. A deposit pool reads its configuration for the list of supported assets, and the adapter adds up total deposits for each asset. This is a basket restaking wrapper. It cannot automatically replace direct stETH or another approved staking sleeve because its backing mix and EigenLayer exposure can change.
Control, loss and assurance
PrimeStaked uses Kelp code with added LSTs and related oracles. Official risk disclosures name smart-contract, EigenLayer, collateral, issuer freeze, and validator slashing risks. They also say that a loss in an underlying LST can pass through to primeETH. Prior Kelp audits cover inherited code, but added assets, configuration, oracles, and operator choices need their own current evidence.
Lifecycle, accounting and exit
DefiLlama reported $37,337 on Ethereum on 2026-08-16 and marks the balance as double-counted because the underlying LSTs are already counted elsewhere. The current adapter shows that assets remain in the deposit pool, but does not show that primary withdrawals are enabled. The official introduction says withdrawals were unavailable at launch and directs holders to Uniswap. A holder may therefore depend on secondary depth and accept a discount until an independent review verifies a current primary redemption path.
Comparison and measurable reopening test
Compared with direct ownership of a named LST, primeETH adds basket, configuration, oracle, and EigenLayer risks. Compared with a mature LRT with verified withdrawals, its public lifecycle evidence is stale. The protocol is below the size floor, so we will not open an individual review until TVL clears that floor for 30 days. Then verify current backing weights, operators, AVSs, slashing, roles, audits, and incidents, and complete a proposed-size primary redemption and secondary sale under queue and depeg stress.
Research status
This is a capacity-unproven record for Prime Staked ETH, not a quality rejection or approval. Reported TVL says how big the venue is, not what the client owns, who can change the rules, or how a position exits at a proposed size. The individual review opens when the protocol clears the size floor.

The claims above trace to these. Where a number could not be independently verified, the thesis says so.

Inherited controls
The research above describes the protocol layer. Every position also inherits the asset it holds and the chain it settles on. The layer with the most administrative power sets the position’s effective control; that describes control, not quality or suitability.
