Brix iTRY is a Turkish-lira stable-value token backed by Turkish-lira money-market funds; staking it produces the ERC-4626 wiTRY yield share. It is not private borrower credit and does not fit the off-chain-credit dossier. The product is rejected individually because TRY/USD movement can exceed the nominal local-currency yield, primary mint and redemption are limited to qualified investors, secondary liquidity can diverge from NAV, and the reviewed public evidence does not provide the controlling offering instrument, exact investor claim, fund issuer, insolvency treatment or a proposed-size redemption path suitable for client capital.

The research file

Product, reserve and classification perimeter

Brix describes Ethereum iTRY as an ERC-20 token tracking the Turkish lira and backed by regulated Turkish-lira money-market funds. wiTRY is the ERC-4626 yield-bearing share received by staking iTRY, with rewards reflected daily. No reviewed primary contract or deployment record established a live MegaETH issuance, so this memo is scoped to Ethereum. This is a foreign-currency fund wrapper with custody, fund-NAV and oracle dependencies, not a loan to an operating company or a permissionless on-chain lending market.

Legal, access and custody evidence

Brix names Zodia Custody as custodian of the underlying reserves and its privacy notice identifies the site operator as wiTRY Limited, a British Virgin Islands company. Neither page reviewed is a controlling prospectus or subscription agreement, and the operator identity does not establish which entity issues iTRY, owns the fund interests, grants token holders a claim, or bears insolvency and segregation risk. Brix states qualified investors may apply to mint and redeem; permissionless secondary acquisition is not equivalent to eligibility for primary redemption or an enforceable claim on reserves.

Valuation, currency, incident and control risks

The product materials explicitly warn that TRY/USD depreciation can offset or exceed the nominal Turkish-lira yield. RedStone supplies TRY/USD and NAV data used in the on-chain wrapper, so stale or erroneous data can affect issuance and valuation even when the underlying fund is performing. The Accountable reserve page and published contract-audit index improve observability, but they do not replace controlling fund documents, audited reserve financials, exact upgrade and administrative authorities, or evidence that a token holder can compel delivery of the backing. The reviewed primary materials also do not supply a complete incident and loss register tied to the deployed contracts, oracle and custody perimeter.

Liquidity, redemption and lifecycle

Brix launched wiTRY through finite World Markets epochs, initially in daily USDM batches. Its own launch disclosure says anyone may obtain wiTRY in secondary markets but warns that secondary liquidity is limited and price may diverge from intrinsic value; qualified investors can separately apply for primary mint and redemption. The DefiLlama protocol endpoint returned no current protocol TVL series on 2026-08-15, so the previously cited roughly $8.7M cannot be treated as executable exit liquidity. Public market-cap observations and reserve value must not be substituted for primary redemption capacity.

Decision comparison and reopening evidence

Compared with OpenEden TBILL, a named U.S.-dollar Treasury product reviewed separately for its own eligibility and operational limits, iTRY adds material TRY/USD volatility and leaves the reviewed holder claim and exit perimeter unresolved. Reopen only after the exact iTRY and wiTRY legal instruments, issuer and fund ownership, custody segregation and insolvency analysis, client/account eligibility, contract authorities, audited reserve reconciliation, oracle controls and proposed-size primary and secondary exits are evidenced together. Growth alone cannot cure those gaps.

Inherited controls

The research above describes the protocol layer. Every position also inherits the asset it holds and the chain it settles on. The layer with the most administrative power sets the position’s effective control; that describes control, not quality or suitability.
